Breathing Ball is a guided breathing exercise which contains an audio or textual narrative and a visual aide (The Breathing Ball). It is designed to assist and encourage you to deep breath over the course of about 5 minutes.
The aim of the exercise is to use the + & - buttons to control the speed of the ball and match this to your breathing to find a comfortable deep, diaphragmatic breathing pattern.
Deep, diaphragmatic breathing is a stress reduction, relaxation technique recommended by the NHS. It has psychological and physical benefits including managing anxiety, improving abdominal muscle strength and releasing endorphines which can help reduce headaches, backaches and other stress related aches and pains.
